World No. 1 and reigning champion Andy Murray and World No. 2 Rafael Nadal are on a likely collision course in the semi-final of the 2017 Wimbledon which gets underway July 3. The draw for the The Championships were announced Friday and pit Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in the other half -- setting up the other potential semi-final.

The Big 4 of Federer (7), Nadal (2), Djokovic (3) and Murray (2) have won a combined 14 Wimbledon championships. Australia's Lleyton Hewitt was the last player outside of the Big 4 to prevail at SW19.

2017 Wimbledon draw: Wawrinka, Cilic in same half as Murray

Fifth seed Stan Wawrinka, seventh seed Marin Cilic and Australian No. 1 Nick Kyrgios have been drawn in the same half as Murray and Nadal. Murray, the defending champion, could potentially face Australia's Nick Kyrgios in the Round of 16, prior to a potential Round of 8 clash against fifth seed Wawrinka.

Djokovic and Federer would have to contend with the likes of 13th seed Grigor Dimitrov, 10th seed Alexander Zverev, last year's finalist Milos Raonic and 8th seed Dominic Thiem in the other, taxing half.

Federer, the odds-on favourite to capture a record eigth Wimbledon title, will face Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov in the first round before moving onto likely matches against 27th seed Mischa Zverev or Aussie Bernard Tomicin the Round of 32, Dimitrov in the fourth-round and either Zverev or Raonic in the Round of 8.

Djokovic, who boasts an impressive 54-9 record at the All-England Tennis Club, will begin his pursuit for a fourth Wimbledon title with a clash against Slovakia's Martin Klizan in the first round before moving onto tougher opponents such as Juan Martin del Potro in the third round and No. 19 seed Feliciano Lopez in the Round of 16. Both Federer and Djokovic would have their work cut out against the battery of #ATPNextGen talent.

2017 Wimbledon: Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal final on the cards?

The poor form of Djokovic and Murray has given the tennis world reason to root for another Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal Grand Slam final. At the start of the year, the two living legends pushed themselves to the limit in the finals of the Australian Open and it was Federer who clinched Grand Slam No. 18. Federer beat Nadal on two more occasions -- at Indian Wells and Key Biscayne -- but the Spaniard stormed through the 2017 French Open without dropping a set and is playing some of his best tennis in close to half a decade.

According to Goran Ivanisevic, the 2001 Wimbledon winner, Nadal enters the 2017 Wimbledon as the favourite simply due to his scintillating form in recent months. "Rafa is very mentally strong. At the moment, he’s the best player in the world. It depends on the draw. I would pick Nadal if he passes the first week. Could he be vulnerable in the first week? You never know," Ivanisevic said, suggesting that the Spaniard would be hard to stop in the second of The Championships which run through July 3 and 16.

Could the tennis world be treated to another Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal final come July 16? The 2017 Wimbledon gets underway on Monday, July 3.
