Gigi Hadid made her catwalk debut for Victoria’s Secret on Tuesday night, and no one was prouder than her mother, Yolanda Foster. “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star expressed her happiness for her daughter in a recent interview. She also revealed that Hadid underwent several auditions before she was finally picked to model on the show.

Foster revealed in an interview with Hello Magazine that her daughter auditioned three times for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The opportunity to model for the esteemed brand reportedly "didn't just fall into her lap.”

“She's missed it twice. This was her third try and she pulled it off and got a spot that millions of beautiful, beautiful women deserve as much as she does but that's a part of the game,” she told the publication on the pink carpet ahead of the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show.

The 51-year-old proud mother also recalled the moment Hadid had told her that she finally got a spot on the show. Foster said she just “started crying” when she learned that her daughter will finally walk the Victoria’s Secret runway.

“She called me the minute she walked out from the car and it was probably one of the highlights of a mother's life,” she told Hello Magazine.

Foster also mentioned how she just kept crying every time she watched Hadid's audition video for Victoria’s Secret because “her reaction was just so sweet.” She had reportedly seen the video a “hundred times.”

Hadid's audition video for Victoria’s Secret became viral ahead of Tuesday’s show. The video was also released after the model was announced as one of the angels to walk the runway along with friend Kendall Jenner.

The official Instagram account for Victoria’s Secret released a clip of the 20-year-old dressed in a two-piece bikini strutting it out for the show producers. Hadid managed to impress the producers and her reaction to their invitation for her to walk the runway was just priceless. Hadid was clearly overwhelmed with happiness and excitement when asked, “What are you doing on Nov. 9th and 10th?” and “Why don’t you come and join us?”
