Team USA continue to train for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain and on Wednesday they faced the visitors from the Dominican Republic. The hosts treated their guests rudely much to the delight of the American fans who witnessed a one-sided 105-62 victory in the exhibition match held at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

It was a balanced attack for Team USA who had 6 players in double-figure scoring and 9 players with 7 points or more. DeMar Derozan of the Toronto Raptors and Rudy Gay of the Sacramento Kings both had 13 points each to lead Team USA in scoring. Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers was perfect from the field (5-of-5 field goals) with 12 points and James Harden of the Houston Rockets also had a dozen points.

Other key players for Team USA include Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors finishing with 11 points in just 14 minutes of action. Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons had 12 points and 5 rebounds off the bench.

Team USA is bracketed with Dominican Republic, Finland, New Zealand, Turkey and Ukraine in Group C of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain scheduled from Aug. 30 to Sept. 8.
