After losing their first game in the 2014 World Cup, Australia has racked up three straight wins to assure themselves of a slot in the Round of 16. The Boomers want to continue the momentum against a dangerous Angolan side which is hoping that they still have a shot to join the Aussies in the knockout stages of the basketball world championships in Spain.

Australia with 3 wins and 1 loss is tied for second place with Lithuania in Group D, which is led by Slovenia (4 wins and no loss). All three teams have advanced to the next round and will face the teams from Group C.

Meanwhile Angola has a lone win in four games and tied with Mexico for the fourth and final slot available in the group. Angola has to win against Australia to advance and hope that Mexico somehow fall to the South Koreans, who are winless in four outings thus far.

Australia at 3 wins and 1 loss are already assured of a slot in the Round of 16 along with Slovenia (4 wins and no loss) and Lithuania (3 wins and 1 loss).
