The 2014 Billboard Music Awards opens tonight with a red carpet arrival of music’s biggest names as they gather to celebrate music at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. With the scorching heat of Nevadan dessert, music celebrities and stars wore as little as possible as they start to heat up 2014 BBMA’s red carpet.

BBMA Icon Award recipient Jennifer Lopez stunned the red carpet with her iconic Versace jungle gown – a low-cut red chiffon gown over red underpants from Donna Karan. Fourteen years of rocking red carpet events, the Bronx-born singer finished her sheer outfit with a voluminous high ponytail, metallic clutch and red strappy sandals.

The only woman to get the prestigious Icon Award, Lopez will join the ranks of Stevie Wonder, Prince and Neil Diamond. Boyfriend Casper Smart was right on her side wearing a hunter green striped suit.

Rising Australian rapper Iggy Azalea also hit the red carpet with a burgundy gown as she glammed up with sheer DKNY dress and Marina B earrings. The “Problem” rapper will hit the stage together with “Sam & Cat” star Ariana Grande as they perform their latest hit.

Country superstars Carried Underwood and Miranda Lambert also hit the red carpet with their country signature styles. The “American Idol” alum wore a vibrant chartreuse gown featuring the elaborate embroidery from Oriett Domenech. While Blake Shelton’s wife wore a pink sheer gown and finished it off with minimal make-up.

The country duo will debut their new duet “Somethin’Bad” at the 2014 BBMA stage. Rising star Austin Mahone is also in attendance and was busy making the girls scream as he rocks a black tee and white jacket on the red carpet.

The night’s most arresting outfit was from Chrissy Teigen who debuted her banging new hair. Sporting a new blunt bangs and pin-straight hair, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl looked smashing in a black and white Fyodor Golan Minidress and finished it off with high heels with gold ankle straps.

Musician husband John Legend is equally fashionable as she is as he rocks a micro-dotted jacket and matching shirt. Hosted by actor/rapper Ludacris, the 2014 Billboard Music Awards is an absolute success as they award music’s outstanding artists for 2013.
