Roger Federer is back to his dominant form this late in the ATP season but compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka believes that he has the goods to deliver the upset victory in the semifinals of the 2014 ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom on Sunday (Australia time).

Their head-to-head record— 14-2 in favour of the World No. 2 Federer— speaks volumes on who has owned this match-up in the past years but Wawrinka’s confidence is not wavering entering the final four match-up with his fellow Swiss.

"I believe I can beat him," Wawrinka declared via the tournament’s official website. "I've been seeing him playing last few months. He's playing great. He's playing amazing tennis, especially indoor. He loves the place here. It's going to be a tough match for me. But I will have to play my best game if I have a chance to beat him. I know I can do it. I know it's going to be very difficult."

Owing to Rafael Nadal’s withdrawal because of an injury, Wawrinka was seeded third in the season-ending tournament in London. He proved his worth by beating Marin Cilic, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 and dominating Tomas Berdych, 6-1, 6-1 although he lost to top seed and World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, 3-6, 0-6 in the group stages.
