The 2013 EB Games EXPO is a gamer's dream come true. It is an annual event for the gaming industry, which features upcoming games, presentations from game developers and several community events. It will be held at the Sydney Showgrounds in Sydney, Australia from Oct. 4-6, 2013.

The activities will start at 9 a.m. for the EB Live Presentation at the EB Arena. It will feature a five story screen for the various presentations of gaming companies.

At 10 a.m., 2,500 Skylanders toys will be given away during the "Skylanders SWAP Force," presentation.

Among the highlights of the EXPO is the introduction of the gaming consoles Sony PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One from Microsoft.

Nintendo 2DS will also be presented, along with new games from Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, including "The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds," "Pokémon X and Y," "Azran Legacy," "Professor Layton," "Sonic Lost World," "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD," "Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze," and "Super Mario 3D World."

Nintendo 3DS users will be offered StreetPass and multiplayer support. Visitors are also requested to bring their copy of "Pokémon White," "Pokémon Black," "Pokémon White 2," or "Pokémon Black 2," for the opportunity to get Giratina, the dual-type Ghost/Dragon legendary Pokémon.

Other video games from various gaming companies will also feature playable games, such as Activision's "Call of Duty: Ghosts," and Electronic Arts (EA) Games' "Titanfall," and "Battlefield 4."

At 1 p.m., "Good Game Live," will be shown. There will also be a Video Game Parade at 3:30 p.m.

Inside the EB EXPO exhibition hall, there will be a special section dedicated to Home Grown Gaming, which will feature the best developers, leading specialist PC technology, eSport casual competitions, pro tournaments and gaming pop culture in Australia. It will include the Home Grown Tech Zone to showcase the latest gaming technology, as well as new toys, anime and music.

Plus, there will be a Laser Skirmish, Cosplay, balloon artists, magicians, face painters and temporary tattoo artists to help keep the kids occupied.

Aside from the games and entertainment, panel discussions will also be held during the EXPO. Topics include "Developing for the Oculus Rift," and "Video Games Are Good for You: A Lesson in Distractive Therapy from the Starlight Children's Foundation."
