To honor home grown artists, the 27th annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards kicked off on the first day of the Dec. and inducted Air Supply in ARIA Hall of Fame and veteran music icon Michael Gudinski was inaugurated as ARIA's Industry Icon. For this year's award, one of the biggest winners is Flume for winning four awards and Tame Impala with three awards.

The nominees were announced on Oct. 14 while the winners for Fine Arts and Artisan Awards category are also announced that day. Winners of the categories for "Song of the Year," "Best Australian Act," "Best Video," and "Best International Artist" are based on public votes, while the "Song of the Year" nominees are based on the ten highest selling Australian single releases during the eligibility period.

The awards night is full of happy faces as Guy Sebastian broke his long drought and won Best Pop Release and Best Australian Live Act. International singer Alicia Keys and New Zealand singer Lorde brought down the house with their powerful performance, inlcluding memorable performance from Birds of Tokyo, Flume, Jessica Mauboy, Bliss N Eso, Stafford Borthers, Tame Impala and Alison Wonderland.
