Vertu, the British manufacturer and retailer of luxury phones, has partnered with Bentley Motors, the luxury automaker, to make luxury handsets. Apparently this is a 5-year partnership. The super luxurious "Vertu for Bentley" smartphone will be a limited-edition device. Therefore, a total of 2,000 smartphone units will be sold via the company's boutique stores.

The Vertu for Bentley smartphone is priced at a staggering starting price of 12,500 euros, which roughly translates to AU$18,095 and US$15,854. The brand new, uniquely named handset, Vertu for Bentley, is an exclusive version of the ultra-luxurious Signature Touch smartphone. The upcoming smartphone is embellished with a diamond pattern on top of a quilted calf leather exterior. The handset will come in Bentley's classic Newmarket Tan hue. As expected, Bentley's brand logo is embossed on the device. Reportedly, the logo is displayed below the display of the smartphone, according to GSM Arena.

Apart from the standard Vertu concierge support, the new handset will also feature Bentley-exclusive content. Meaning, an assortment of exclusive articles, materials and driving routes will be featured. It is not only about the outer look, the handset is super strong under the hood as well. The luxurious smartphone is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801) processor, clocked at 2.3 GHz.

Vertu for Bentley features a 4.7-inch display with 1080p screen resolution and 473ppi pixel density. The handset is covered by the now-famous sapphire crystal for protection. As far as the memory goes, the smartphone offers a solid 64 GB of built-in memory. Plus, the device sports a good 13 MP rear-facing camera unit along with dual-LED flash and a 2.1 MP Skype-compliant secondary camera for selfies. Moreover, the upcoming Vertu handset runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

Speaking of battery, the phone comes equipped with a good Li-Ion 2275 mAh unit. And the battery can provide up to 15 hours and 30 minutes of talk time and up to 380 hours of stand-by time. Lastly, the device supports NFC. Overall, the phone package consists of a matching luxurious complimentary slip case, stereo headset with remote, wall charger with regional plugs, microUSB cable, polishing cloth and nano-SIM card adapter. In addition, there is also a collateral pack consisting of Quick Start Guide, Authenticity Card and Warranty Booklet.
