Nostalgia is the name of the game for the most recent tracks revealed for “Guitar Hero Live.” Activision have revealed 12 more tracks for the rock and roll themed game, with plenty of classics that fans of older rock songs will appreciate. Furthermore, some of these songs have appeared in older “Guitar Hero” games, adding even more nostalgia to the mix.

Activision officially confirmed the 12 tracks below from a press release:

1. Living Colour - Cult Of Personality

2. Pat Benatar - Hit Me With Your Best Shot (Live)

3. Ratt - Round and Round

4. Slipknot - Before I Forget

5. AFI – Girl’s Not Grey

6. Warrant - Cherry Pie

7. Incubus – Drive

8. Faith No More – Epic

9. Audioslave – Cochise

10. Survivor - Eye of the Tiger

11. Queen – We Are The Champions

12. Disturbed - Down With The Sickness

Veteran fans of “Guitar Hero” will remember that “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” was in the very first game in the series and was the only song that wasn’t a cover. This was because most of the music artists didn’t know how well the game would do. After becoming a sales success, every song in a “Guitar Hero” game was no longer a cover.

Developer FreeStyleGames also announced the official Spotify playlist for the game, which will be updated as soon as new songs for the game are released. It’s a smart move on the part of the developers, as fans of the songs will be able to listen to them without having to play the game.

“Guitar Hero Live” looks to be the triumphant return of the series after a lengthy hiatus. Many gamers had grown tired of both “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band,” since they were almost yearly in their releases. After sales took a down turn, both series’ were put on hiatus by their developers. Activison and Harmonix will release “Guitar Hero Live” and “Rock Band 4” this year, which should make for some intriguing competition.

“Guitar Hero Live” comes out on Oct. 20 for North America and Oct. 23 for Europe. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 an the Nintendo Wii U, along with iOS and Android devices.
