What would you do if you get a chance to be your town’s mayor? For an 11-year-old Texas girl, it was a chance of a lifetime to have things her way. In her case, a “Justin Bieber Way.”

Caroline Gonzales beat out fellow contestants at a local competition in her hometown of Forney and became the youngest mayor, at least for a day.

And as the newly designated mayor of Forney, her first decree Tuesday was to rename part of the Main Street “Justin Bieber Way” after the teenage pop star.

Citing a report by the Associated Press, Epoch Times posted in a separate article that a temporary-“Justin Beiber Way”-sign was placed near the street in Forney, which is near Dallas.

Explaining why she used her first decree to put the sign up, the 11-year-old mayor told E! Online simply, “because I really like Justin Bieber.”

"I like his music and I like him. And I thought, why not have a street in my hometown named after my favorite singer?" Fox News Latino quoted the 11-year-old Forney mayor.

Though it was not clear if the state paid for it, the sign reportedly cost $20.

Gonzales won the contest aimed at encouraging youngsters to participate in and become interested in government.
