A hundred years have passed, and the story of “The 100” season 6 will be set on a new planet. In a recent interview, show creator and Executive Producer Jason Rothenberg has revealed that the plot of the next season will be about finding out what happened to Eligius III. The following article contains spoilers from episodes that have already aired.

Eligius III is a ship that was sent from Earth by the Eligius Corporation before the first apocalypse. Its mission was to search for another habitable planet and look for oil. They found a planet with two suns, and to be able to withstand the radiation there; all the crew members were turned into Nightbloods.

In an interview with EntertainmentWeekly, Rothenberg said that the next season will be about the search of Eligius III and its crew. The main questions that the show will explore are –Did any of the crew members survive? What is the new planet surface like? Are there any threats in the woods?

Rothenberg teased that the fans will find things on the new planet that are not there on Earth. “We’re going to really lean into sci-fi world-building with this planet,” he said. The producer did not reveal the name of the new planet because he considers this to be a spoiler.

As far as the characters on the TV series are concerned, Rothenberg teased that all the characters who were alive by the end of season 5 will be there in the next season, including Marcus Kane (Henry Ian Cusick), who is in a medically induced coma. Jordan (Shannon Kook) is a new character on the show, and Rothenberg pointed out that the character has not developed emotionally because he hasn’t experienced much.

As far as Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Clarke (Eliza Taylor) are concerned, Rothenberg said that the two characters may have reconciled, but they are just partners and sometimes best friends. The two are not romantically involved yet.
