Rolene Strauss has won everyone's heart in the Miss World pageant to grab the esteemed beauty title. Miss Africa, and now Miss World, has dedicated the title to her country, which was yearning for it since 1974.

Not to mention the fact that the competition among 122 world's most pretty girls was quite gruelling and intense, the crown has fallen into the lap of an African beauty after 40 long years. Here are some few interesting details about the new star who has beaten Miss Hungary Edina Kulcsar as first runner-up and Miss U.S. Elizabeth Safrit as second runner-up:

1. Born in 1992, Strauss is a test tube baby. In fact, she is the first successfully conceived test tube baby of Bloemfontein.

2. She won her first title at the tender age of 15 when she bagged Elite Model Look South Africa in 2007. She was also one of the top five beauty queens of Miss Africa contest in 2011.

3. Strauss is the perfect example of beauty with the brains. She is a fourth-year medical student at the University of the Free State and soon will become a doctor, just like her father. She had put her studies on hold to pursue her childhood dream of becoming officially the most beautiful woman in the world.

4. She appears to be single. An Instagram lover, Strauss does not seem to be romantically inclined towards anyone. "I definitely don't have a public relationship," told Miss World when quizzed about her dating life in particular.

5. She owns and drives a Volvo. As per Zimbio, she feels like a princess whenever she zooms around in it.

6. Media has criticised Strauss for being overweight in August 2014. A supplement giant and a health club chain came forward to her rescue and helped her to remain fit and in shape, told by The Health Site.

7. Strauss was expected to win by lots of people around the world. Betfred, Ladbrokes and Titanbet had Strauss as the favourite bet, followed by Miss India, Koyal Rana, and Miss Australia, Courtney Thorpe.

8. In her journey from Miss Africa to Miss World, she was constantly supported by former Miss Africa Melinda Bam, to whom Strauss had lost in 2011. Bam was even present at the ceremony and was seated along with Strauss' parents.

9. She towers up to 5'9" and is a bilingual beauty, with complete hold over both English and Afrikaans. She wanted to work in health care and towards women welfare in Africa.

10. She is brought up in a close knit family with one younger brother. They used to visit Hartenbos for every December holiday and her favourite food is her mother's home-cooked oxtail with stamp-mielies and that too, made on a special stove which the family owns.
